Time for a clean slate on your library account. Fairport Harbor Public Library will be offering a Fine Amnesty Week, October 14-19 giving Library patrons with outstanding fines an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and restore their access to Library services and resources.
All patrons are offered a one-week fine amnesty. In exchange for the return of lost or overdue library materials, the library will be accepting donations of food for the Fairport Harbor food pantry. Only donations that are in the original packaging, unopened, and not expired will be accepted. Replacement of lost materials with an exact duplicate copy will also be accepted. The Library will clear all overdue fines and fees for any Fairport Harbor Public Library materials returned during Fine Amnesty Week, which will run from Monday, October 14 to Saturday, October 19. Materials must be returned in good condition to the Library at 335 Vine Street, Fairport Harbor. Fines on materials from other libraries cannot be cleared.
After the conclusion of Fine Amnesty Week, outstanding fines on patron accounts for lost or overdue materials will remain until all materials are returned and/or fines are paid.
