Fairport Harbor Public Library is Going Fine Free!
Starting December 2, patrons will not pay overdue fines on most of Fairport Harbor Public Library materials. By eliminating late fines, FHPL can better fulfill its goal of providing free and equitable access to all of our patrons. We want to remove the barriers that keep away the library users who may need us the most.
Most items will automatically be renewed as long as there are no requests from other users. After the renewal limit is reached, the item will be marked lost, and the library will charge the borrower its market value. These charges will be cleared as long as the borrower returns the item.
Keep in mind that items borrowed from other libraries and some FHPL specialty items may still incur overdue fines. You can check your receipt or look up your account status online to keep track of your materials and due dates.
Stop in or call the circulation desk if you have any questions about your account.
