Per CDC guidelines, the library is requiring patrons ages 10+ to wear masks when inside the building effective September 8.
Lake county is currently experiencing a high level of COVID-19 transmission. The library has been advised by local health authorities to follow CDC guidelines. The CDC recommends that all persons wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccine status, in areas of substantial or high transmission. Visit the CDC tracker to see the current status of your area.
It is library policy that all library patrons, visitors, and staff will follow the CDC recommendations by wearing face coverings in all areas of the library building at all times. Library visitors ages 2-9 also are requested to and will be encouraged to wear a face covering. Free disposable masks are available to those that need one.
If there is a reason a patron or visitor cannot wear a face covering, the library staff is permitted to refuse entry into the library building and will offer reasonable accommodations for library services outside the building. These accommodations may include email or telephone ordering and information services, curbside delivery of materials, curbside printing/copy/fax service, and curbside notary service.
Child visitors ages 0-13 must be attended by a parent, guardian, or teacher per library policy.
