Fairport Harbor Public Library is accepting applications to fill another seat on the library’s board of trustees set to become vacant November 19, 2019.
The new trustee will be appointed to a term through December 31, 2023.
Criteria for potential trustees include a commitment to the goals of the Fairport Harbor Public Library, willingness to devote time and effort to duties, recognition of the library’s importance as a community center of information, active participation in community affairs, use of the library and its resources, being an advocate and building support for the library, attending meetings and library functions, and serving on one or more of the Board Committees.
Submit a resume and completed application form to Ken Newton, Fairport Harbor Public Library, 335 Vine Street, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077. Applications may be mailed or dropped off in person at the library.
Applications are available at the library or printable online.
Recent applicants for the previous vacancy in September need not fill out a new application but do need to submit a letter of interest to the board.
The deadline to submit an application is November 9, 2019.
The Library is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of seven members who volunteer their time and expertise. Board meetings are the third Tuesday of every month (no meetings in July and August) at 5:30 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. The public is encouraged to attend.
